Crypto is Just for Libertarians, Right?
It’s become increasingly rare to find agreement in our politically polarized world, and yet, technology is one of those few things that seems to be politically agnostic for the most part. Sure, we might find disagreement in how to regulate it, but regardless of your political affiliation, we all rely on technology to light our homes, heat our food, get us from place to place, and connect with our friends and loved ones.
The same can be said of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies as they slowly move towards mainstream adoption. But, this also happens to be one of the most common misconceptions when people discuss blockchain and crypto. The common assumption is that crypto is only used by libertarian-leaning or even anarchist-type individuals who are wary of “big government” and want to maximize their freedom of choice. However, recent survey data from crypto users and advocates tell a much different story.
