Thank you for clearly defining the difference between social democracies and democratic socialism that are far too often equated as the same thing in America, both being thrown under the term of “socialism”. I wish Bernie Sanders would stop using the term democratic socialism because I think it is leading many to think he actually is a socialist when in reality, and as you pointed out, he just wants us to be more like the Nordic countries who have strong social welfare programs to ensure the excesses of capitalism are curtailed.
