I find it interesting that the same holds true for the US education system in which we spend more per student than any other country but our educational outcomes are worse (see story below). Seems to be a recurring pattern with many US institutions. Thanks for highlighting the differences in the UK and US healthcare systems; it really is crazy how much we Americans pay for healthcare services and I hope one day we can join the rest of the developed world in recognition that healthcare is a human right, not a privilege.
